Equal Pay Claim - Here is the current information:

Dear UNISON member
We are writing to you with a further update on the third-generation equal pay parity offers to let you know how to get involved with the campaign for equal pay justice.  As you know we negotiated the current MOU based on getting parity payments for members based on offers made by the Council in 2018 to NWNF solicitors Equal Pay Legal.  As your trade union we have been clear with the council about the need to treat staff fairly in these settlements and not to use them to undermine trade union organisation or to treat union members less favourably than other staff.
We have registered a formal dispute and have asked for the Council to draw a line under the equal pay challenges by paying all trade union members, regardless of whether they have signed a COT3 or not, the same level of payment per year as the Evans Derry (NWNF) clients.  We have also been consistently pushing them to review the grading system so that this situation does not continue.
In order for us to win this dispute we need all members to be involved as simply arguing for parity will not work.  If you can help with leafletting or coming to the lobby please let us know by calling 0121 2003331 or emailing [email protected] using the strapline campaign help and leave us your name, tel number and email address and we will be in touch about adding you to the rota of events. If you cannot make the dates below but would still like to be involved please contact us as we will be arranging further events.
We are planning to have at least 50 members leafletting twice a week across parts of the city.  This work is being coordinated by our Regional Office so please let us know when you are free to join us by contacting us asap.
We have already started the leafletting campaign in the Ward of the Council Leader and have delivered thousands of leaflets to his constituents.  We would like you to join us in his ward for a mass leafletting session on Saturday 9th July at 10.30am – 11.30 meeting in the car park of the Hickory’s Smokehouse, Shard End. B36 9AR
We have also set up the petition.  Please sign it yourself today and ask your friends and family to sign too.  Please also share the petition "Equal Pay Justice Now"
